Terms of Service & Booking

Before Booking Please Read

  •  The  Client is hiring David Osborn aka David's Dryer Vent Cleaning  Service, for the task of clothes dryer exhaust vent duct lint, debris and/or  nest removal.
  • Payment is due immediately upon completion of the job..  Checks by mail is not an accepted method of payment.
  • Please be prepared ahead of time. Prior to your  appointment  please have laundry area clean and free of any laundry,  ironing boards,  cat boxes and other obstacles.  Any  wall hangings around the washer/dryer must  be removed to  prevent them from falling or hindering the work process. This helps me do my job quickly and efficiently.
  • I provide a specialized cleaning  service for clothes dryer exhaust vent duct  lint, debris and/or nest removal only. The purpose of this service is  to improve the performance of the  clothes dryer, lower energy use and  help prevent a dryer fire. Often I will make recommendations to  prevent future problems. If the client  ignores a recommendation, I  cannot be held liable for any consequences.
  • I do not make appliance  repairs.  I  do not make home repairs or alter  a building in an manner and do not  do house cleaning. Repairing damaged  ducts and outlets should be done  only buy an insured and appropriate  trade contractor, not a cleaning  company.
  • I am not responsible  for preexisting conditions, damaged floors,  walls, drip pans,  disconnected  or damaged ducts or outlet covers.
  • Dryer  exhaust vent ducts which exit through the roof of a building and have a damper, box  type outlet cover, have problems with the damper sticking closed  when  clogged with wet lint.  When this happens, the outlet cover must  be  repaired or replaced by a roofer or the property owner. DUE TO SAFETY AND INSURANCE ISSUES,  I do not go on rooftops or under buildings.
  • There are a vast  number  of homes with  dryer vents on second story tile roofs, many with solar  panels. I can  only clean the duct and cannot clean or repair damaged  vent outlet  covers. Only  after cleaning the vent, can I check the air  flow to  determine if the  outlet is functioning properly. If a rooftop outlet  cover is damaged or clogged to the point that it cannot be  cleared from  inside, it must be removed, repaired and/or replaced by a  roofer or other qualified, and appropriately insured professional.
  • In   most cases, I require access to the connections on  the back of the dryer. I am not responsible for damages which occur when MOVING WASHERS and/or DRYERS, this includes floors and drip pans.
  • If it is necessary to move a stacked  dryer to gain  access to the vent connection, it is the customer's  responsibility to  have it moved PRIOR to the appointment. Again,  before your appointment, have all items clear from the top,  sides and  above he washer and dryer. Also for outlets, remove any obstructions around the exhaust outlet, such as trash cans,  plants or toys.
  • Recommendations: I frequently make recommendations to help the client maintain a  safe  and healthy environment. This is helpful and sometimes required  information meant to help conserve energy, help prevent a dryer fire and/or carbon monoxide poisoning. Often, conditions exist where   aesthetics must be sacrificed for safety. For example, if a dryer must  not be pushed back against the wall to prevent crushing the connection duct. It may not line up evenly with the washer, therefor many get  upset  because it doesn't look even. Do you want it to be even and not  work  properly, possibly causing a fire? Or make appliance safety a   preference? I will not try to sell you anything. However, I may   recommend repairs or modifications be made by outside, qualified   contractors of which I am not affiliated with. My recommendations  are  not to make money but for your convenience and/or safety.
